After working on another Asterisk project recently, I had another possible use for it. I was thinking I should be able to set up Asterisk so that I can call into it and listen to my emails. I was thinking I could set this up like a voice mail box would be. I can just set a PIN number or password and use that to log into the email system. From there, I can just browse through my unread emails and have the Festival engine read them to me. I don’t think this would be too difficult to set up. I bet someone’s already done it. Once I start working on it, I’ll post my progress up here.
